Here are things you can do to preserve the Ag Reserve
for the next 25 years:

Join CPR.

click here to download our membership form.  Every name added to our membership roster is another voice speaking in favor of the Reserve and its benefits to Montgomery County.

Work on a CPR committee.
Email us at
preservethereserve@gmail.com.  Our key areas of need are in membership, advocacy and outreach.  Committees will also develop in-depth knowledge of specific Ag Reserve issues.

Work with other organizations
to which you belong and help keep them informed and involved on Ag Reserve Issues.

Remind politicians about the value of agriculture and the Ag Reserve
.
Whenever you see or meet a politician or get a questionnaire from them ask them about their commitment to the Ag Reserve and tell them it's important to you.

Write or email Park & Planning
and express your support for the Ag Reserve in their future strategic planning.  Address:  Strategic Planning Division, 8787 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring MD 20920; email
mcp-chairman@mncppc-mc.org  Tell planners that major developments belong where infrastructure already exists - not in the Ag Reserve.

Support farmers and farming in Montgomery County.

Support or join agriculture related organizations such as the
Montgomery County Farm Bureau, Montgomery County Friends of the Ag Park, Montgomery County Ag Advisory and Ag Preservation Boards.  And plan to take part in the annual Farm Tour.

Apply for leadership positions

in groups affecting planning in the Ag Reserve, including the Montgomery County Planning Board, and the Upcounty and Midcounty citizens' advisory boards.
